I had salted some paper for salt printing and hung the pieces to dry. Once dried, I was intrigued with the way they curled and the almost sensual quality to them. For fun I snapped a photo of three curled sheets with my iPhone—seeing the image pushed me further. I set up a scene in the studio and began photographing the pieces of paper with my 8×10 camera using paper negatives. I’m quite happy with the results and feel as if a new series has begun for me.
