It is the final stretch and I am finishing the last minute tasks for my upcoming museum exhibition. Creating new work for my fellowship from the Racine Art Museum has offered me great growth in my style and vision. In many ways it has allowed me to push myself further with my art than I have in the past, and is providing a wonderful place to display my work at RAM’s Wustum Museum of Fine Arts.
The piece above is called “Memories” and is comprised of four tintype photos I created myself, which were then inserted into antique tintype cases.
I will be posting more formal info on the exhibition soon, but just in case you forget to check back, the opening reception is Thursday, August 27th from 6-8pm at RAM’s Wustum Museum of Fine Arts at 2519 Northwestern Avenue, Racine, Wisconsin, and the exhibition runs from August 28th to November 28th, 2015. Please stop by the opening if you can, I would love to meet you!
