Those of you who have been stopping in my studio since I first got it in early 2014 have seen it change a fair amount. The gallery space has gone from an eclectic mix of art and my vintage collection, to just my art, and now it has shifted back to the eclectic mix. I love the look of a clean proper art gallery, but the mix of art and vintage is more of my style and I feel it makes for a more inviting space.
This year I also decided to start selling some of the woodworking items I make—unique solid wood cutting boards, farmhouse & Shaker inspired furnishing, and even some upcycled furniture. I also decided to sell some of my collection of vintage goods and that has been an interesting transformation. I started with just a small selection of my own vintage items, and now have vintage and antiques for sale from two other friends.
So I guess my studio has evolved into an art studio – gallery – antique store – home furnishing store. I still have a some remodeling to do, but I’m getting close. Most of all it is fun to do and I already see a wider range of people stopping in. I’m open most Thursday’s from 10-2, so stop in and check it out.
